The Vital Records Program ensures that the following records are completed correctly:

     Birth Certificates for home births in Caswell County
Death Certificates when a death occurs in Caswell County
Burial Transit Permit to transfer a body out of state for burial
Disinterment / Re-interment Permit to exhume a body



The Health Department, in conjunction with Caswell County Emergency Medical Services, offers a car seat safety program to ensure that infant and child car seats are properly installed and being used properly. The services of the Certified Child/Passenger Safety technicians are available to anyone. In addition, a limited number of car seats are available for those who cannot afford to purchase them on their own. To obtain one of these care seats, individuals must complete a short educational program to ensure that the seats are installed and used properly.
